I was once a person who was possessed by demons. It was a terrifying and traumatic experience that completely consumed my life. Looking back, I can now see how the demons entered my life. It started with an interest in the occult, and I began to dabble in dark magic and satanic rituals. What Does Occult Mean In The Bible?
Before we can move forward addressing the Occult and the Bible, we need to understand exactly what the word means in its Biblical context.
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and hidden things, which you do not know.’

I love this scripture because it literally says that those who hunger for the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, that which is hidden and kept secret from the masses, that God will share with you if you go through him.
The word Occult simply means hidden. Thatโs the literal translation in Spanish.
Here is Jeremiah 33:3 in the Spanish bible: Clama a mรญ, y yo te responderรฉ, y te enseรฑarรฉ cosas grandes y ocultas que tรบ no conoces.
Notice the word Occultas or Occult.
Occult is a neutral term, its not bad, nor is it good. When used in the Bible it does not denote anything evil, sinister or wicked. No, quite the contrary. When the term is used in the Bible is it used to speak about Gods secrets that he reveals to his servants.
What defines Biblical Occultism?
The secrets of the Kingdom of heaven are hidden from the masses, and for good reason. Jesus tells his disciples to pray in the secret place. Do their alms or good deeds in the secret and by doing so God would reward them openly. He goes on to say that God would speak things into their ear in secret aka Occult or hidden information that they would in turn speak from the rooftops. By definition, the secret life of the believer is a life in the Occult.
Did Jesus Practice Occultism?
Yes. An overwhelming amount of ancient Christian art shows depictions of Jesus using a magic wand while performing exorcisms and healings. Jesus as a prophet would have been trained in the deep spiritual crafts of his elders who came before him, such as Moses and Elijah. We even get a glimpse of Jesusโs teachers teaching from beyond the grave, signifying that Moses and Elijah were very much alive in the spirit world. These practices seem to be the stuff of fable right out of a Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings movie. In fact, many of the depictions weโve seen on the big screen show more of a Biblically accurate spirituality than anything that has come out of the conservative Christian film industry. In fact, J.R. Tolkien was a Christian and was well aware of the ancient magical techniques that Jesus inherited from the Egyptian mysteries. Jesus understood the hours and seasons of the sun, moon, stars and their celestial bodies. Many Christians write this off and claim that he only had this power because he was the son of God. This sentiment negates how and in which manner Jesus came to the earth. The scripture says that Jesus took not upon himself the nature of angels, but came in the likeness of carnal flesh. By him doing this, he showed the world what was possible thorough faith and being righteous before God.

Biblical Occult Practices Were Hijacked
These Occult secrets were hijacked by dark forces and used against Gods children. Because these wicked forces cannot go directly to God to get this information they have learned it from the children of light, who shared these secrets. In turn dark individuals used the secrets or Occult of God to summon, communicate with, and gain powers from malicious entities that many call demons.
With this information of secret knowledge they have now brought the entire planet into their submission by the use of inversion. This inversion is the Biblical sin of Blasphemy. So this video says I can look into the occult?! Wow! Not necessarily. This video is to show you that what you have been calling Occult with dark and evil connotation holds no competition with the true occult of the light, the hidden things of God. You do not have to look to individuals as Aleister Crowley, who by opening himself to dark spirits was defiled and was driven into madness. No. You can look to the Bible, which is one of if not the most magical books on the occult on the planet. Look to Jesus, his disciples, the saints, the prophets, elders and ancient ones who are all a part of the body of Christ. Every individual who has chosen love over hate is a part of that body. They are your teachers. The same way that Moses and Elijah taught Jesus. The Holy Spirits will teach you. Every person who has chosen faith over fear is a part of that spiritual network, and you have access to them. They are not dead. They are eternal. If in this life they have chosen life, eternal life was rewarded to them.
Darkness can never extinguish a flame, but when the breath of God blows upon even a spark of divine love, that spark indeed has the potential to become a wildfire and lend its flame to ignite others. You are that flame. This is the great mystery that has been kept hidden since the beginning. Christ, the anointing in you, literally inside of you. If youโll allow it. If youโll become a vessel. This is the hope of glory. This message has been hidden since the beginning, and guess what? It still is. But is being revealed inside of you and the overflow of such will be a wellspring of life flowing over and in abundance to all around you. Everything is spiritual. Everything is magical. Words, writing, songs, food, television, entertainment, the Bible, everything. Use it for good. If you do, more will be given to you and more will be revealed in you. Donโt abuse it or use it to harm others, if you do, that which is given will be taken away and given to another. I canโt wait to see what the power of God will reveal in you, to you, and through you. When we put on this armor, we are better equipped to withstand the enemy’s attacks and to stand firm in our faith.
Pray: Prayer is a powerful weapon in the fight against the devil. When we pray, we invite the presence and power of God into our lives and ask for His protection and guidance. We can also pray for others who may be struggling with temptation or spiritual attacks.
Read and study the Bible: The Bible is the primary source of truth and guidance for believers. By reading and studying the Word of God, we can learn about God’s character and His plan for our lives, as well as gain insight into how to resist temptation and stand firm in our faith.
Surround yourself with believers: As the saying goes, “Iron sharpens iron.” When we surround ourselves with other believers who are committed to living out their faith, we can encourage and support one another in the fight against the devil.
Ultimately, the key to winning the battle against the devil is to stay close to God and to rely on His strength and protection. When we do this, we can have confidence that God is with us and will help us overcome any challenge that comes our way. So, let’s put on the full armor of God and stand firm in the fight against the devil.
Are demons real? This is a question that has been asked by believers and skeptics alike for centuries. While the concept of demons may seem like something out of a horror movie, the Bible contains numerous references to the existence of these spiritual beings.
In the Old Testament, demons are referred to as “unclean spirits” or “evil spirits.” They are depicted as beings that can possess people, animals, and even inanimate objects. Another example of demon possession in the Bible is the story of Mary Magdalene, who was delivered from seven demons (Luke 8:2). In this account, Jesus cast the demons out of Mary and set her free from their influence.

The spirit of Jezebel gets its name from Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, whose main goal was to kill the prophets of God. We learn the way that this spirit operates in the story of Jezebel in the book of 1 Kings. It is by lying, gossip and deception that we see this spirit operating in many churches today. In Revelation 2 we see that this was Godโs major concern against the Church of Ephesus.
The Spirit of Jezebel: โto teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornicationโ.

19ย I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20ย Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

22ย Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23ย And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
They allowed the spirit of Jezebel to roam freely throughout their members.
She is a master manipulator and will stop at nothing to silence the prophets of God, both then and now. Jezebel goes after those with a God given voice and brings along with her jealousy and envy. Jealous of the anointing, favor and platform that those around her have, she feels as if she deserves the notoriety and spotlight that is given only by God himself. One of the main ways that Jezebel tries to silence the prophets of God is by means of intimidation. If the person operating under the spirit of Jezebel does not repent, this person must be put out of fellowship in order to keep the fellowship of the saints safe.
When the prophets begin to prophesy, when they begin to do miracles and to minister, the Spirit of Jezebel will appear just like it did for Elijah.
What Are The Characteristics Of The spirit of Jezebel?
1. The spirit of Jezebel tries to destroy the reputation of the prophets of God. Jezebel Brings In With Her other spirits as well.
The spirits of Slander / Accusation and Backbiting The spirit of Jezebel tries to use discouragement through backbiting and gossip.
Jezebel is the spirit of Manipulation Spirit that is very present in churches.
Many times the spirit of Gossip operates as a concerned friend saying that we need to pray for so-and-so did you hear what day did. This false sense of compassion, it’s only a bridge to be able to expose and ridicule someone’s weaknesses in order to make oneself look better. This happens many times at prayer meetings or phone calls, and this is something that should be avoided. It is not the act of sharing the information, but it is the purpose of the heart in which you share it.
Any time you try to slander someoneโs name and character you try to make them look bad so that you look good.
This Spirit operates through leaders in many church circles as finger pointing and name-calling. Stay away from so-and-so, and it usually means that they are putting other people and ministers down so that they look better. This is even what you see in denominationalism. Different denominations competing for followers and reputation. ย When you are trying to build an organization, this spirit is very key. Kill the competition.
But we must understand that the true church of Jesus doesnโt function as an organization but an organism. Living, breathing and thriving, hence, the body of Christ, when we all come together and form Christ on the earth. Where two or more are gathered, there I am in the midst of them. Thatโs the meaning of Church.
Jezebels agenda is self worship. She masquerades as being religious, but worships at the altar of Baal.
2. The spirit of Jezebels plan is to silence your voice. Through depression, inadequacy and you will always fall prey if you continue to look for validation from others to pursue the call of God on your life.
3. The spirit of Jezebel brings depression after huge victories. โI have had enough,ย Lord,โ he said. โTake my life;ย I am no better than my ancestors.โย 5ย Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. – 1Kings 19:4-5

How To Overcome The Spirit of Jezebel
While Jezebelย was killing off theย Lordโs prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hiddenย them in two caves, fifty in each, and had suppliedย them with food and water. Caves represent the hiding place or the secret place, essentially the shelter for God’s children to go for protection against attacks of their enemies.
The cave is your prayer closet. The place that you enter into God’s rest and spend alone time with the heavenly father.
Is Demonic possession real? Is there actual proof of hell and demons? Many people believe these are made up stories to scare people into following the Bible. Yet, The truth is that many people have had encounters with demonic possession and the spirit world. When I was younger I was involved in satanism, occultism and dark witchcraft I had experiences and encounters in my life that I knew that something was real on the other side and I wanted to make contact. I had all of these books different witchcraft books and satanic bible all the stuff and I would do the rituals and the sรฉances within them all the different meditations usually on how to contact entities on the other side and most of these were demonic beings that resided in hell and all of this kind of stuff that were in the Necronomicon the satanic bible. I did all of them over a period of a couple of months and none of them worked none of them worked so just before I was thinking about giving up something happened, and they all worked at the same time.
I started having experiences in my home where I would see shadows running out of the corner of my eye I would be watching television and something would be standing in the corner, and it would run I would see it my girlfriend would see it we’d hear crazy noises in the house and on top of the roof and all types of weird stuff going on I started to get really sick I started coughing up blood on a daily basis I got really skinny turned really pale, and it was just this weird place that I was stepping into because I opened up the door to these entities what ended up happening was I would sit on the couch and watch television with my girlfriend and out of nowhere some type of portal would open up, and these beings would pull me into this portal and which I refer to as hell and I would see all types of colors and shapes and spirits and all of this demonic stuff it was panic it was scary, and they were to try to communicate with me all of them at the same time, and they’re speaking foreign languages I can’t understand what they’re saying I’m seeing stuff and what happens to my body is I would get really pale I would get freezing my heart would start racing, and I would turn white, and I would stop breathing and I would just sit there and stare into this trance where these beings were trying to communicate with me and my girlfriend would shake me are you okay and I’d be in this trance in this realm of hell and I would come back and catch my breath and start oh my god and I would be crying what what happened very scary psychosis, and they would do this at will I opened up a door that I could not close whenever they wanted to try to communicate with me in mid-conversation they would pull me into the trance they would pull me into the portal and I would see these different realms of darkness and beings and grotesque colors and faces that would would change and there was no drug use there were no psychedelics nothing like that, but it felt so much like a bad trip. This was in in the middle of the day in the middle of conversation that these entities these demons would pull me into this portal of hell so needless to say my mind was all jacked up from doing all of this occult rituals and these demons speaking to me at will I remember trying to go to the grocery store to get groceries with my girlfriend and even with my grandmother and I couldn’t even go out in public because everybody was staring at me literally everybody in the store everywhere I went they’re all making eye contact with me and looking directly into my soul and it was so frightening it was I felt ashamed and and I felt exposed, and I knew things about those people when I would look at everyone I knew things about them there was this like really heightened uh sense of psychic abilities that I couldn’t turn off or on esp it’s called many different things, I would know what people were thinking, and it was this weird realm of psychosis eventually I couldn’t look anybody in the face I couldn’t look anybody in their eyes because I knew things about them, they knew things about me and these spirits would be whispering to me uh during the day straight psychosis I remember going to McDonald’s and just trying to order something with my girlfriend and I couldn’t even look the people in the face and talk to them and tell them what I wanted to eat, I’d have to whisper to my girlfriend I wanted number three or something, and it was just this crazy psychosis and I couldn’t control it my health was going downhill fast I’m having nightmares about my own death and right before I die and all of these nightmares I scream out for the blood of Jesus to help me Jesus please forgive me right before I die and all of these nightmares, and I was at this precipice I was in between two worlds, and I was living with one foot in the existence of some type of hell some type of portal that I opened up in another realm I was in reality I was in the real world the physical world, but I couldn’t control it and for me this was sheer terror and torment there was another spirit that came upon me, and it was a spirit of hypochondria and so what that was is everything that I heard everything that I saw about an ailment from somebody whether it was on television or at the hospital everything that I heard I believed overwhelmingly in my mind that I had that disease if it was brain cancer if somebody said it I believed it a thousand percent that I had it and I feel things in my body as soon as they said it I would align myself with it and I couldn’t, I couldn’t turn it off and on it was this weird realm this weird vortex that was open that was psychotic it was schizophrenia and again sheer terror of experiencing this realm of hell a few years.
Demonic Possession
Before that I was a Christian, I had given my life to Jesus at a prayer meeting in 1998, and I remembered the beauty I remember the freedom the bliss the safety that I found in his presence and so me being at rock bottom being an open conduit for these souls to come and speak to me and torment me and all of this I longed for god’s presence I longed for the stability and the serenity in my mind I would have friends and family members come over and there would be smoking pot or something and we’d be channel surfing and I would watch like Benny Hinn or something I would stop on it, and it would say man turn that stuff man that’s fake and I said “no man that’s real I used to be a Christian this stuff is real y’all”. He would pray he would pray for people, and you would see them just begin to cry and weep, and they would experience god’s beauty. They would experience god’s freedom and I wanted that back in my life so much because I was at the end of my rope finally after having a night of long episodes and being pulled in these trances and coughing up blood and really being at the end of my rope I told my girlfriend at the time I said listen I need you to pray for me, I need help, and so she didn’t really believe in god, but she prayed anyway that I would feel better the next morning I woke up, and I felt a lot better, and I went to uh my room and all of our idols and all of our witchcraft books and materials and clothing and posters and all of that stuff that had anything to do with satanism and witchcraft and Wicca I tore it all up and threw it all in the garbage can, and my girlfriend’s in the living room freaking out crying “what are you doing what are you doing why are you throwing everything away?” I said listen I have to get my life back right with Christ I have to, and I said you can do it with me, or you can move back in with your family you make the call, and she’s said “well I don’t believe in Jesus, you can’t make me act like I believe in something that I don’t”. I said well we believed in the goddess and the god and Satan and pharaoh we believed in all this weird stuff why can’t you just try to believe in Jesus let’s give it a shot give it a try I said listen
“if you will serve god with me and put your faith in Jesus for a week and if our lives aren’t 100 better I’ll come, and I’ll follow any god that you want me to”.
That’s how confident I knew that Christ was going to transform not only my life but hers as well I ended up taking what little books that I had left and a couple CDs, and we brought them to the pawn shop and ended up getting a few dollars for it so I took the witchcraft books and demonic CDs got money and I went and bought clothes that I could wear to a church I took the money from the CDs and bought Christian CDs I remember pod being a Christian band so I was like let me buy their album so I bought pod and Darell Evans let the river flow and the money from the books ended up buying bibles so we had our own bible and our own Christian music and and uh closed the word of church because all I had was like demonic clothing so I muted I went to the dollar store and bought like a ten dollar suit of clothing and so when I got back home I grabbed the phone book and I made that decision to give my life back to Christ but there was still a lot of stuff going on in my head man those demons still had hold of me and so I called every church that I can find in the yellow pages in the phone book and I left a frantic message on all of these answering machines at churches it was like on a Saturday and I said “hey I I think I have demons I’m demon-possessed, and I need prayer can somebody please help me here’s my number, here’s my name”. I left like 15 messages at different churches one church ended up calling me back and the pastor called and prayed with me over the phone and that same day the pastor comes over to the house and he prays for us and he started picking us up and bringing us to church.
I rededicated my life to to following Christ and it was a long hard road you know I found instant freedom uh upon making that declaration to follow Christ, but I had trained my mind and opened it up to so many uh wrong things and so the the process of renewing the mind it has taken years I found it felt instant freedom but a lot of it they didn’t want to let go so I suffered a lot of spiritual warfare a lot of different places and areas of my my life that I was getting freedom in they didn’t want to let go, so this was a process that I had to go through, and I would say I’ll continue to go through that freedom in revelation of these different levels in the beauty of who Christ Jesus is to me what I did was opened up doors and saw things that it wasn’t permissible for me to see I was not invited there I showed up uninvited and uninformed and I ended up paying the consequence for that I’m forever in debt to the beauty and love of the lord Jesus Christ for saving me for transforming my heart transforming my mind because I know many people who don’t make it out of that stuff many people end up in mental institutions and there’s people who die and take their own lives because of all of this demonic torment, and again I thank god for Jesus in the scripture saying that he is able to open doors that no man can open but he’s also able to close those doors that no man can close and that’s what I did I opened up doors to the demonic realms of hell that I couldn’t close and Jesus came into my life, and he closed those doors for me.
He brought me peace, and he brought me his presence his serenity and uh man he is just the most beautiful person that has ever existed and if we can see him for who he truly is we’ll be forever changed by one glimpse of the messiah also remember watching TBN and they have that number at the bottom where you can call for prayer and I was like I need somebody to pray for me so I end up calling that number and somebody on their prayer team answered, and I told them my story that I was in witchcraft and you know I’m having all of these weird thoughts and visions and it’s scary and overwhelming and they shared a scripture with me and the scripture has stuck with me to this day it was James 4:7 which says
therefore submit yourselves unto god resist the devil, and he will flee from you, draw near unto god and he will draw near unto you
and at that moment that scripture was so powerful because it says that if I will submit to god the devil the enemy these doors will close and the enemy will flee man I stood upon that scripture September 7, 2000, and I still stand upon that scripture today making sure that my life and our lives are in total submission to Christ in total submission to god so if there’s any warfare if there’s any open doors if we submit ourselves to god resist the devil he will flee you.

TruthSeekah was surprised to see the promo material for his interview that was promoted as a debate. TruthSeekah posted this image and commentary on his official Facebook page.
It seems like instead of a normal interview, audiences were to expect a debate based on this poster from Bob Larson’s social account and YouTube thumbnail. Adding a ‘VS’ makes it seem like Bob Larson wanted to start an intense argument with his guest.
Even at the beginning of the video, Bob Larson sounded like he’s skeptical about TruthSeekah being a “Christian”. It was very evident even until the end of the interview.

I was a huge fan of Bob Larsons work when I surrendered my heart back to Christ in 2000, so I see it as an honor to speak with him. But, I’m not one to debate or convince anyone of anything. It Did Not Go As Planned
Bob Larson showed a piece of paper. It was a printed copy of a certain part of TruthSeekah’s website in which Bob pointed out what TruthSeekah does particularly the use of terminologies which he referred to as witchcraft stuff and not a part of Christianity. He then mentioned casting out demons. This is where the heated argument began. For the sake of those who are not familiar with Bob Larson, he is an exorcist. According to his biography online, he is the worldโs foremost expert on cults, the occult, and supernatural phenomena and created several books about demons and exorcism. TruthSeekah also casts out demons like him.
You Cast Out Demons!? How?
Bob Larson made TruthSeekah explain how he cast out demons. While explaining, Bob interrupted him and said something about not answering his questions directly. They begin to have banter about it. Bob and TruthSeekah’s beliefs about casting out demons are greatly different from each other and this causes Bob to question TruthSeekah’s answers when being asked about how he cast out demons. While TruthSeekah describes things subjectively, Bob on the other hand wanted a concrete answer from him.
Furthermore, the way that we see it, it seems that Bob is judging TruthSeekah’s ability to cast out demons. He wanted to make it appear that TruthSeekah is into occult and demonic stuff. He bombarded him with questions and biblical stuff to make it seems that TruthSeekah is not a typical Bible believer when in reality TruthSeekah loves and believes in Christ and the love of God. Bob Larson didn’t seem to understand his perspective and kept on going about how TruthSeekah is an “apologetic”. They talked about hell and the two shared different views about it.
We Saw The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit On Display!
He was losing his temper while on the other hand, TruthSeekah remained calm and confident with his answers. He thought he’ll dig dirt on him but he didn’t get the response he was expecting. Bob Larson seems very set in his ways. TruthSeekah on the other hand held out to his own. He was talking about his intentions, and how Eastern and Western spirituality intertwines. It is all the same message but they just have different ways of saying it.

The first thing we do is begin to panic, much like Peter stepping out of the boat to be with Jesus. His childlike faith caused him to take the first step out of the boat, and he began to walk on water, just like Jesus.
It wasnโt until the reality of what was happening in the physical realm sunk in that he began to look at his situation and circumstance and take his eyes off of Jesus.
Once this happened, fear entered his heart and he started to sink into the sea.

There is a tangible peace that God promises us in the midst of the storm because Jesus is the one that has the power to speak to the winds and the waves.
However, some demons that accompany the trial cannot be rebuked or cast out until we learn why they came in the first place.
Bible Verse About Freedom From The Devil and His Demons
One of my favorite scriptures is James 4:7. I have personally found it to be a blueprint for navigating through the storms in ridding oneโs self from demonic attacks.
In the church, Christians seem to blame the devil for everything, but we must remember that the devil only has the ability to do whatever God allows.
God uses the devil to chastise and teach. James 4:7 reads,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:7
This was actually one of the first scriptures that I ever learned and actually clung to coming out of witchcraft.
I called in to a TBN prayer line and the person over the phone shared it with me, and it has been near and dear to my heart ever since.
Letโs break down what I believe is a simple Biblical formula to ridding oneโs self of demons and moving from glory to glory.
3 Steps To Get Free From Demons And Stay Free
1. Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Submitting to God
We must make sure that we are submitted to God in every area of our life. We must search our hearts to make sure that there is no hidden sin or wrong motive within us.
If so thatโs ok, but we must deal with it. We must repent of the sin and ask God to forgive us. Sometimes this is easier said than done, but we must find the root of the issue. Are you judging someone? Participating in slander and accusations? Have you been hurt?
Whatever it is, we must seek the Lord for total healing so that these impure thoughts and desires no longer cling to us.
We have to deal with them early on, or it will weigh us down and not allow us to ascend the hill of The Lord.
Sometimes this can take years or months, and other times it is demolished in a moment.
Getting Free and Staying Free
This is why the scripture says,
โWho shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.| Psalm 24:3-5
The scriptures tell us time and time again that man judges by the outward appearance, but God judges by the heart, motives and intentions.
In order for the anointing to flow freely in our lives and to have open communication with the Holy Spirit, we must examine ourselves daily to make sure that we are in the faith.
But be of good cheer, because this gets a little easier as we get used to this as a daily process.
If we are submitted to God, we are protected by His mighty hand.
When we go outside His will we open ourselves up for demonic attack, but if we are submitted to Him in every area, then no matter what comes we know that it was allowed by Him for our good.
2. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Resist the devil. Just show a little bit of resistance.
Stop giving in to the temptation and falling over every stumbling block that is set before you. The scripture says that for every temptation we are faced with, God has provided us a way out.
You have to show some resistance. After all, isnโt this a spiritual battle?
The battle is the Lordโs and the warfare takes place in the span of twelve inches, the place between the heart and mind.
It is also said that if we give the devil an inch twelve times, he becomes a ruler.
This resistance is also a form of worship.
Many people travail in prayer and beg God to take away temptations, drug addiction, pornography addiction etc., but it is in our denial of these momentarily fulfilling things that God gets the glory.
Show some resistance.
It is the only way that you will find freedom and be able to elevate to the greater levels that God is calling you to.
3. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

It becomes easier to know when other spirits are trying to invade our heart space when we draw closer to God and the Holy Spirit.
The more we get familiar with walking in the spirit and what that feels like, it becomes easier to tell when things are amiss.
We can actually sense when other spirits are among us trying to settle in, such as pride, lust and any evil imagination. This also naturally sharpens our gift of discernment because we know what the other spirits look and feel like, so we are able to stop them in their tracks early on.
A lot of the trouble, stress and worry that believers find themselves in is uncalled-for.
Many times we make a mountain out of a molehill, and these trials could be over quickly if we just draw closer to the fire of God and let the impurities burn off in the refinerโs fire.
If it is God who allows these things to happen, it is He who is able to banish them. We are created with free will, and we get to choose to worship God.
Yes, sin is fun but for a season as the scripture says, but it is only God that can satisfy our souls.
We always look for the quick fix, but in the end it is simply putting a band-aid on an inner mortal wound.
Choose God Daily
The Bible bids us to โchoose this day who we will serve.โ
Choosing God, the one who satisfies our soul over the pleasures of the flesh, is an act of worship.
God gets the glory when we choose Him over the underwhelming competition.
Our prayer should not be begging for forgiveness asking God to take these desires away, but to consciously choose God over these other things.
Our desires will begin to shift if we continually do this, and we will find that we have indeed created a mountain out of a molehill once we look back at the things the Lord has brought us out of.
This is an easy check list that we can go through to examine ourselves, and it will lead us to walk in victory in every area of our lives.
Sleep paralysis is an experience where you wake up unable to move or speak. It may last only a few seconds, but it can be terrifying because you may feel like someone โ or something โ is holding you down.
Sleep Paralysis
Sometimes it happens when youโre getting into bed or just waking up. You lie in the dark waiting to drift off, and then suddenly your mind wakes up before your body does.
You are conscious but ย canโt move or talk for brief periods during waking hours. These episodes are sometimes described as โdemon attacksโ, which is not surprising considering how frightening they are when they occur. What links sleep paralysis to the supernatural or paranormal is that many people claim that they see demonic entities within their bedroom during these encounters. A person who is dealing withย demonic possessionย can experience these entities several times throughout their life.
What are shadow beings?
Between 8% and 50% of people experience sleep paralysis at some point in their life. About 5% of people have regular episodes. It is believed to have played a role in the creation of stories about alien abduction and other paranormal events.
Shadow beings are often described as dark, shadowy humanoid shapes or apparitions about the size of a human. They are not always humanoid, though. Some shadow people are blurry, amorphous masses that change shape frequently .
Some people claim to have seen shadow creatures made out of rocks, coal and other inanimate objects. Others see them near mirrors and windows โ places where spirits can grow stronger and more visible by interacting with their reflections.
Why Do People See Shadow People?
This is one of the most common questions asked by those who experience these visions: why would I be able to see something if itโs between me and the light source? People who see shadow beings usually report seeing them against a wall or from across a room. This is usually many people’s first encounter with spiritual warfare.
Shadow Being / Night Terror
Authors Kelly Bulkeley and Stanley Krippner suggest that paranormal experiences are linked to โsleep eventsโ such as hallucinations during dreaming or out-of-body experiences. This is because people often report seeing ghosts during dreams or feeling as if they were floating outside their body. Conspiracy theorists claim that alien abductions are sometimes caused by astral projection; this involves projecting oneโs soul outside of their body.
The โOld Hagโ Syndrome
The night hag is a generic name for a folkloric creature found in cultures around the world, and which is used to explain the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. A common description is that a person feels a presence of a supernatural malevolent being which immobilizes the person as if standing on the chest. This phenomenon goes by many names.
People have claimed to see an old lady or witch screaming in their faces during these encounters. These phenomena have become to be known as the โOld Hag Syndromeโ.
The term โhagโ is often associated with witches. This is because of the old English legend which tells of Hag โ an evil witch who would sit on peopleโs chests at night to suffocate them during their sleep.
The โOld Hagโ Syndrome
The first known reference to hags or hags attacks comes from Halifax in 1699. John Freind suggested that suffocation was caused by โan oppression of spiritsโ together with a sensitivity to being touched at the time.
The first medical report of โnight hagโ came from Dr David Collins in 1781. He wrote that many locals believed that this phenomenon were brought on by witches or ghosts sitting on victimโs chests as they slept.
Real Sleep Paralysis Story!
When I was around four years old, I can still remember the night that I awoke in my bed to a terrible feeling of the presence of two shadow beings lying on each side of me. The shadows were pinning me down to the bed. Fear crept over me, was afraid and did not know what to do.
I donโt know if I couldnโt speak or was just too afraid to for fear that they would know that I was awake.
The beings had me was paralyzed with fear. Around that same time in my life, I woke up after midnight and walked through the house and walked into my mom’s room. There was a clothes’ basket right past the doorway and the room was dark and in the basket were two red glowing eyes looking at me.
Throughout my childhood, my friends and I were always trying to scare ourselves by hiding from each other and jumping out, telling ghost stories or watching scary movies. Pretty typical stuff, but throughout my whole childhood it tortured me.
Encountering Demons In Dreams
Every time I turned the light off, I was scared, but the even scarier part was when I closed my eyes. Most nights I had nightmares. I had them so often that I learned how to lucid dream to get out of them. Every time I wanted to wake up I would just suffocate myself in the dream, cut my own throat, drown myself, or jump head first into a rock to kill myself or break my neck. It worked every time. I always woke up out of the nightmares when I did this. The scariest dreams were when I was trying to go to sleep and looking around at my room and I didn’t know that I had fallen asleep.
In my dream, I would still be lying there in bed looking around my room and either a demon would come walking in my room, or one would be on top of me and I couldn’t move. This phenomenon was quite different from the experience that I had as a child with the shadow beings lying on my chest.
The Lord didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of love and a sound mind. I just hadn’t learned this yet.
I learned through my studies and personal experiences with these entities that they are sent to try and place fear into the hearts and minds of those who are destined to do mighty things for the light. For many people, sleep paralysis is linked to demonic possession.
Paranormal Encounters
Most of the time, people have encounters with these beings when they are children. These beings come to try and rob them of their innocence.
Many people I know who have had these encounters end up doing great exploits serving humanity and spreading love in their adult lives. It seems as if they are marked at an early age by some type of dark force to try and keep them away from pursuing anything spiritual.
People call these beings witches, shadow people, and even report seeing silhouettes of men standing in their room wearing a top hat and trench coat.
Others have named this the old hag syndrome, speaking about experiences where they wake up out of a dead sleep and cannot move and an old woman is laying on top of them screaming. Scientifically and clinically it is said that sleep paralysis is where a person wakes up consciously and even opens their eyes, but their body is still asleep resulting in a paralyzing stasis of fear.
That could be true, but why are there usually shadow beings, demons, imps and creatures in a person’s room when this is taking place?
My belief is that this is something that is supernatural in nature and may be even feeding off of people’s energy while they are asleep. Waking up in the middle of the night not being able to move or speak is definitely terrifying, but having a scary entity present doesn’t help the situation.
If it is just because we are in alpha sleep, why isn’t it a pink elephant that appears? Why isn’t it something lovely and beautiful that we often encounter in the dream state?
Why is it always some grotesque looking entity that is present when sleep paralysis occurs?
How To Stop Sleep Paralysis
People have testified that during sleep paralysis episodes that the experience would immediately stop when they call upon the name of Jesus. Some who aren’t able to speak during these encounters say that even if they can only “think” the name of Jesus, that that experience would end also.
There is power in the name of Jesus, and every knee must bow to that name. That includes all spirits, angels and demons that have existed or ever will. The name of Jesus Christ is indeed the name above every name! If you have encounter with fear during the night, try speaking the name of Christ.

Names of Spirits Mentioned and Their Functions
Spirit of Adoption
โthe placing as a son, that is, adoption (figuratively Christian sonship in respect to God)โ
Romans 8:15 – For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit of Adoption has to be understood through sonship and understanding how the father and son relationship works within the covenant of God. The scriptures call the individuals who go about doing wickedness โthe children of the devilโ and those whose hearts are after righteousness โthe children of Godโ. Spiritual adoption takes place when God draws us to Himself, takes away our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh. Once this happens, our hearts that once desired to do wickedness now cry out Abba Father. Through this adoption, the Holy Spirit seals our hearts through faith in Christ. Although we may still stumble, we continue to get back up. The scriptures declare, for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes in Proverbs 24:16. This is also shown in the story of the prodigal son.
Spirit of fear; Power, Love, Sound Mind
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Spirit of Fear
The spirit of fear uses intimidation to cause one to worry, doubt and live in unbelief. Fear is in direct opposition to faith and can hinder the flow of confidence that it takes to walk in the spirit of Christ. This spirit causes its host to play out scenarios that do not or may never exist, making one afraid and hopeless. It is said that the acronym for the word FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real, and this makes perfect sense.
When discussing the spirit of fear we must also address the healthy types of fear mentioned in the scriptures, such as the fear of The Lord. The Bible says this fear is the beginning of wisdom. This fear is more of a respect for His authority rather than being afraid of Him. Proverbs 8:13 says that The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way. This is wisdom.
Spirit of Power
โGreek word โDunamisโ which means miracle working power/ Might, Strengthโ
Power relates back to Acts chapter 1:8,
โBut ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.โ
Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we receive power to be witnesses unto God. Thatโs the โdunamisโ, or the miracle working power. The scripture also says in Mark 16:17, โAnd these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.โ Throughout the scriptures we see the prophets, disciples and apostles doing supernatural feats including healing, divine multiplication, prophesying, foretelling the future and having knowledge of the past, casting out of demons and performing many other great signs and wonders. This power was not just for them, but their exploits are left as an example for us. The writings of Paul urge believers to desire and to โlustโ after spiritual gifts that are freely given by God to all.
Spirit of Love
2 Timothy speaks about the Spirit of Love. In scripture, the Greek word used and its context is very important, because there are different words for love that show varying degrees of how much love is being shown. The Greek word used here for love is Agape, which is the greatest form of love and is also one of the manifested fruits of The Holy Spirit. It is no respecter of persons and knows no wrongs. The other types of love mentioned in the New Testament are from the words Phileo, Storge and Eros.
Phileo is the love we have towards friends and it oftentimes can we wavered and built upon stipulations.
Storge love is the love that parents instinctually have towards their children and shows a deeper connection in friendship that the Phileo type of love.
Eros is the passionate and romantic type of love dealing with the emotions and on a sexual level.
These three levels of love can change in a personโs life and relationship due to circumstance and actions, but the Agape form of love is the highest of the named words for love. This is the love that the Heavenly Father extends towards us, and we are to take that same love into the world through fellowship with The Holy Spirit. Some of the traits of this love can be found in the book of Galatians chapter 5:22-23, which reads, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” These are the manifested character traits that come from The Spirit of Love. These are specifications by which Jesus commands us to judge all things. We are not to judge by doctrine or dogma, but by their fruit. Out of all things, Love is the greatest.
A Sound Mind
The spirit of a sound mind is like the previous example of Agape love, because its essence comes out of fellowship with God through spiritual practice. It is also mentioned as a fruit of the Holy Spirit. The meaning comes from the Greek word meaning temperance or self-control. When studying these principles, in order for one thing to be true, the exact opposite must also apply. The opposite of self-control is what the scriptures call having โFits of Rageโ. These are known as the deeds of the flesh. The spirit of a sound mind is in operation when the world is falling apart all around us, but we are able to keep cool, calm and collected in these situations. This is a peace that is supernatural because it comes straight from Jesus as mentioned in John 14:27, โPeace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. It is what we call a peace that surpasses all understanding.โ
Deaf, Dumb & Foul Spirit
Mark 9:25 – When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
The deaf and dumb spirit is a literal spirit of infirmity that causes one to not be able to hear or speak. These spirits can be cast out by the power of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Testament of Solomon says of these spirits in verse 54, โBut I blind children in women’s wombs, and twirl their ears round. And I make them deaf and mute. And I have again in my third head means of slipping in. And I smite men in the limbless part of the body, and cause them to fall down, and foam, and grind their teeth. But I have my own way of being frustrated, Jerusalem being signified in writing, unto the place called ‘of the head.” For there is fore-appointed the angel of the great counsel, and now he will openly dwell on the cross. He doth frustrate me, and to him am I subject.”
The deaf spirit is mentioned in the Testament of Solomon in verse 76, โThe fifth (demon) said: “I am called Iudal, and I bring about a block in the ears and deafness of hearing. If I hear, ‘Uruel Iudal,’ I at once retreat.”
The Testament of Solomon is a key piece of writing in understanding how spirits work and operate. It also gives info on which demonic spirits are associated with different ailments and infirmities, and also includes the accompanying angels and planets that bind them.
These spirits work by intimidation, causing people to be void of understanding and knowledge and causing them not to be able to learn or hear the truth.
These spirits can cause someone who knows the truth to be intimidated into keeping silent, succumbing to self-doubt, fear, and timidity. The spirits understand the power of the spoken word in confessions (1John 1:9), positive affirmations (Proverbs 18:21) and declarations (Romans 10:9-10). These spirits know about the law of binding and losing. They would stop at nothing for you to be blind to the power that resides within you.
Foul Spirit
โimpure (ceremonially, morally (lewd) or specifically (demonic): – foul, unclean.
The foul spirit abides on its hosts and entices one to be lewd and nasty in manner and language. There are times during the deliverance of this demon that the person undergoes a change of countenance. Their face could change, even morphing on some occasions. I have seen some of the most shy and polite people change in an instant and begin to utter the most horrific profanities imaginable that they would never use. The foul spirit also tries to make the person degrade themselves, in many cases playing with their own urine or feces, leaving the person mentally disturbed. That is the state that they wish to see their prey in.
The foul spirit often carries with it a rude stench similar to that of garbage, vomit or rotting flesh. Many people have experienced this smell while performing exorcisms during the deliverance of demonic spirits. However, while in ecstatic experiences with God there are accounts of smelling beautiful aromas of honey, incense, frankincense, flowers and sweet smelling fragrances.
Song of Solomon 1:3 says, โPleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out.โ
Spirit of Heaviness
“To be weighed down, Tired, Under Pressureโ
Isaiah 61:3 – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.
The spirit of heaviness operates in many ways, one being the lack of motivation due to circumstance and situations. This brings about hopelessness to cripple an individual spiritually. This spirit acts as a yoke of oppression and can even feel like a literal weight upon ones shoulders. When the spirit of heaviness is released, the person oftentimes feels lighter physically, emotionally and spiritually. Many who operate under this spirit feel as if they must have an answer for everything and feel like they have to carry everyone elseโs burdens. Empaths using the discernment of spirits can actually feel this emotional and spiritual baggage carried by individuals around them. When an empath comes in contact with a person under the spirit of heaviness, they could feel this baggage and weight and mistakenly believe that it is their own. This spirit must be dealt with through intercessory prayer and consecration. If not, the spirit will then also linger with the empath who had the supernatural gift to sense its presence. Another way to get free from this spiritโs oppression is to offer up the sacrifice of praise unto God. For the scripture says in Isaiah 61:3, โto give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.โ Praise immediately brings right focus to every circumstance and situation that we are facing and acts as a garment of protection or a hiding place from unclean spirits in the demonic realms.
Spirit of Whoredom
โIdolatry, Chasing after of other thingsโ
Hosea 4:12 – My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
The spirit of whoredom causes one to live and die by the acceptance or rejection of others. It will go from person to person, group to group looking for affirmation that is only found in Father God alone. It is essentially the spirit of prostitution that causes the person to sell themselves short for momentary acceptance. Contextually this term is used when Israel turned her back on Yahweh and went after foreign gods. Most of the time, the person inwardly knows that what they are doing is wrong and they continue to do it to lash out or prove a point to someone. The individual ends up with more baggage than they expected, because they have entered into contracts with beings that have their own interest in mind.
Haughty Spirit
โPrideful arroganceโ
Proverbs 16:18 – Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
The haughty spirit is an unteachable spirit. It influences a person to always have to be right, even when proven wrong. Cognitive dissonance is when a person refuses to change their mind or belief, even when shown proof of its falsehood. Operating under cognitive dissonance, the person under the influence of the haughty spirit will cling to a belief tooth and nail, never admitting error in fear of losing validity. This spirit disables a person or teacher from walking in true humility by lording prideful arrogance through doctrine and dogma. It is a controlling spirit of pride, which cometh before a fall.
Spirit of Antichrist

1 John 4:3 – And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Many people confuse the spirit of antichrist with the antichrist of Revelation. These are two different representations of the same spirit. 1 John 4:3 tells us, โbut every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.โ You will find this spirit abiding within well-meaning people who seem to be some of the nicest people imaginable. Things change when the name of Jesus is mentioned and their countenance begins to change simply over the mention of that name.
Spirit of Divination or Spirit of Python
โa Python, (by analogy with the supposed diviner there) inspiration (soothsaying)โ
Acts 16:16 – And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
It can be a little tricky to understand the spirit of Python due to the translation of the Bible. The English the word used is โdivinationโ. Divination by itself is not something bad or something to be afraid of. This is not a correct translation because the passage is talking about a woman who is channeling the spirit of Python. The Greek word used here is Python referring to the Pythian serpent that was said to have guarded the oracle at Delphi and that was slain by Apollo. The prophets and disciples all participated in forms of divination and ritual in order to communicate with God. It is all about the intention and manner of which one uses this tool. In the case of the spirit of Python, the texts show us how people are able to channel foreign spirits in order to gain information about people and circumstances. In the end there is usually a high price to pay for this information.
Unclean Spirits
โImpure, morally (lewd) or specifically (Devil)): – foul, unclean.โ (See Foul Spirit Mentioned Above)
Matthew 12:43 & Luke 4:33 – When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Spirit of Slumber
(Referring To Isaiah 29:10) โPerhaps by some confusionโ
Romans 11:8 – According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day.
The spirit of slumber, or spirit of โDeep Sleepโ as mentioned in Isaiah 29:10, was sent directly from Yahweh to close the eyes of the prophets and seers. The spirit of slumber was used by God upon the ones who were well learned and well-studied in the wisdom of books and universities. This spirit prevented them from understanding the mysteries of God, because it is not something to be learned from a book. On the contrary, the mysteries of God are to be experienced through the living word of God. The Bible says that God has made it impossible for them that are learned to understand the wisdom of the scriptures. The scripture states that, โInstead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerfulโ 1 Corinthians 1:27. We also see this when Jesus chose his disciples from a group of men who were unlearned and rough around the edges. God does this so that we cannot boast in our own understanding and studies. He bids all men to come unto Him and learn and He alone will reveal unto them the things that cannot be fathomed by mortal men, the secrets of Heaven.
โThe person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.โ1 Corinthians 2:14
Spirit of Error
โStraying from orthodoxy or piety: – deceit, to deceive, delusionโ
1 John 4:6 – We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
The spirit of error refers to someone who is being led away into strange doctrine contrary to what has already been established by the apostles. In many cases, this is speaking about straying away from what Paul calls the simplicity of the gospel. Many people who are called into the deep waters of the mysteries of God soon find themselves like Peter. Once they step foot off of the boat, they find themselves sinking in unbelief and trying to rationalize their faith and doubts. This is not a bad thing, it is a part of the process. The way to make sure that you donโt sink is to simply do what Peter did while sinking in the ocean of despair. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Do not forsake your first love. Let everything that you do and everything that you share be fueled by the fire of that first love of Christ Jesus. This is what it means to guard your heart. This is also what Paul is referring to in the book of Galatians when he says, โO foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you not to obey the truth.โ The word bewitched used here is means โto fascinate (by false representations)โ. Many well-meaning people have itching ears and have been led off of the boat only to drown in the sea of forgetfulness.
Spirit of Jezebel
โto teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornicationโ
Revlation 2:20 – Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
The spirit of Jezebel gets its name from Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, whose main goal was to kill the prophets of God. We learn the way that this spirit operates in the story of Jezebel in the book of 1 Kings. It is by lying, gossip and deception that we see this spirit operating in many churches today. In Revelation 2 we see that this was Godโs major concern against the Church of Ephesus. They allowed the spirit of Jezebel to roam freely throughout their members. She is a master manipulator and will stop at nothing to silence the prophets of God, both then and now. Jezebel goes after those with a God given voice and brings along with her jealousy and envy. Jealous of the anointing, favor and platform that those around her have, she feels as if she deserves the notoriety and spotlight that is given only by God himself. One of the main ways that Jezebel tries to silence the prophets of God is by means of intimidation. If the person operating under the spirit of Jezebel does not repent, this person must be put out of fellowship in order to keep the fellowship of the saints safe.
Familiar Spirits
โA spirit that has been with ones family in previous generations i.e. Generational Curse (ventriloquist, as from a jar): – bottle,โ
1Samuel 28:3– And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land
The familiar spirit is a spirit who tries to entice men with secrets. Bringing with it the spirit of err, the familiar spirit will entice a person to consult with demonic and unclean spirits through divination and soothsaying in order to get privy information that should come straight from the Father. The spirit knows that men and women thirst for knowledge and the spirit beckons to share it with others for a small fee, yet the price is never worth of consequence of the knowledge. Many new agers practice forms of channeling in which they open themselves up to familiar spirits and allow an entity to speak through them. In Wicca, this spirit is embodied within a spirit animal, which is why black cats are usually kept by practicing witches. Being with a family lineage for generations, this spirit also works to bring the sins of the fathers back unto the children, forming generational curses.
Spirit of Infirmity
โfeebleness (of body or mind); by implication malady; moral frailty: – disease, infirmity, sickness, weaknessโ
Luke 13:11– And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
The spirit of infirmity is a spirit of sickness and disease. Jesus knew this and thus knew that mental disorders and ailments usually stemmed from forms of demonic influence. This is why Jesus walked in authority, cleansing people vexed with spirits of infirmities. When a person is vexed with unclean spirits, it can lead to them having hypochondria. This is where the spirits will tell the person that they have many infirmities that they do not really have. This leads to worry and anxiety and will cause health and mental breakdowns.

All throughout the Bible, we read about normal people doing the miraculous. We read about them interacting with angels and confronting demonic spirits. They were frequently hearing voices, seeing prophetic visions in the dream and waking states, etc.
We read about them performing mighty miracles to accomplish the will of God on the Earth. Each time this was done, it was to give glory back to the Father.
God Speaking
The Ancient prophets and seers, the New Testament disciples, and even Jesus operated in the gifts of the Spirit. Spiritual gifts such as the ability to discern spirits were very much at work in their lives.
People are fighting their own personal battles. A person who is sensitive to the Holy Spirit can use the gift of discernment to extend grace.
You can be guided on specific things to say to people that will have impact in their life.
The power of life and death are in the tongue. As followers of Christ, we have the power to bind and loose on Earth as it is in heaven.
One of the easiest yet most effective things that we can do is to work with God through conversation. By doing this, we offer hope and encouragement to those who are lost.
Discern the times, discern the spirits, and let it come naturally.
Did Jesus Operate In The Gift of Discerning Spirits?
Yes! In the story of the woman at the well, Jesus meets a woman fetching water from a well. You can read this account in John chapter 4 in the Bible. During conversation with her, Jesus uses the water as an analogy about being spiritually dry and the water that he provides causes us to never thirst again.

In their discourse Jesus tells her out of the blue to โGo, call your husband and come backโ and she replies that she has no husband. Jesus, using spiritual discernment says cynically โYou are right when you say that you have โNo husbandโ for in fact you have had five husbands and the man that you are with now is not your husband.โ
Jesus had no foreknowledge of her situation according to the flesh.
He was just passing through the city, but God had bestowed upon him a divine appointment. The woman then says โSir, I can see that you are a prophetโ, acknowledging his gift.
Jesus then begins to share the truth of the gospel with her and tells her that he is the messiah. As the woman leaves and returns to town, she begins to tell people โCome and see a man who has told me everything that I have ever done; could this be the messiah?โ
Revival Happened Because Of Discerning Spirits
After this, the townโs people began to make their way towards Jesus. Verse 39 says that many of the Samaritans from that town believed on him because of that womanโs testimony and they urged him to stay with them, and he did for two days.
During the two days that Jesus was with them, the people told the woman โWe no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.โ
One supernatural word of knowledge caused many people to come to faith in God because of Jesusโs willingness and obedience to be used by the Father.
This is why Jesus later goes on to say โUnless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.โ This is but one example of how God uses spiritual giftings and abilities to win people over and draw them unto himself. How does God do this? Through us.
Ephesians 2:10 says, For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
This is the song and dance with God, the divine romance; that God would use us to bring forth His glory upon the Earth. Jesus and the disciples were privy to these spiritual giftings and abilities, and Jesus also left a promise that we would do greater things than him!
Can Anyone Discern Spirits?
Everyone has the ability to tap into these spiritual if they so desire for themselves.
They are what we call the sixth sense. Have you ever thought about someone and then they suddenly called you on the phone? Have you ever thought about an old song that you havenโt heard in years and then the radio Dj randomly played it as you thought of it?
These are minor examples of how we are tuned into our spiritual gifts from God.
The amazing thing is that you can actually hone in on them and get better at using them just like a muscle gets stronger the more you use it.
The more aware we are of the presence of these in our life, the more we can open ourselves up for these โGod Encountersโ.
Discerning Spirits During Prayer
I have learned to better hear Godโs voice while in prayer by using the laying on of hands during group gatherings. Itโs about being able to be quiet and tap into the personโs energy. By doing this we can sense, feel and know what they are going through, and we can minister directly to their specific need.
Instead of praying a hundred words that just seem to end in monotony, we can learn to pray and speak 10 words of power.
God cares about all of us. He cares about every aspect and every area of our lives, and He even knows what we need before we pray.
Praying For Man
Each one of us can learn to be so close to the heart of the Father that we not only know His heart and desire for our own lives, but also the lives and purposes of those around us. Jesus and his disciples used spiritual gifts and the anointing to bring forth healing and deliverance to many during their ministry.
It has been said that to deny these spiritual gifts and talents is to deny people an aspect of Jesus. If Jesus and His disciples needed these tools during their ministry, then how much more do we?
What Is The Reason For Discerning Spirits?
Jesus went out performing many miracles and making decisions based upon following the flow or unction of the Holy Spirit, which spoke to him in many different ways.
God uses the miraculous as an open door to share His love with mankind.
There are many examples in the scripture where Jesus used his spiritual giftings as an open door as well.
The miracles and supernatural encounters act as a bridge and at times reveal the inner secrets of the heart that only God knows.
Discerning Spirits Scripture
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. | 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
How To Discern Spirits
Discerning spirits can be done in many ways. Biblically, it acts as an inner knowing or a deep feeling. When interacting with spirits on a day-to-day basis, these spirits become familiar to us. We learn the way they operate as well as their agenda.
Discerning Spirits Through Hearing
God is always speaking. The question is, are we listening?
God is speaking
In 1 Samuel Chapter 3, Samuel hears a voice calling out to him in the middle of the night.
Samuel hears the voice and gets up on three occasions. Each time the thought that it was the High Priest Eli that was calling his name.
On the third occasion, Eli tells Samuel, โIt is not me calling you, maybe it is the Lord. The next time you hear your name called, say, โSpeak Lord, for your servant is listeningโ.
When he did this the next time, God began to speak with Samuel. Sometimes we can hear His voice deep within our being, sometimes as audibly as speaking with a friend.
Learning the different ways that God is speaking is a beautiful journey.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says, โThe eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.โ
When God Speaks, We Speak
God is always speaking and always looking for those who are willing to draw near and hear what He has to say.
One of the most powerful and wisest experiences that I have come to practice (whether in corporate prayer for someone else or in my personal quiet time) is to just sit in silence and ask the Father,
โLord, What would you say? We know what men would say and what they have said, I know what I would say, but Lord, what would you say?โ
The first thing that we should do in every situation is consult the heart of the Father and ask for His guidance in the matter.
I guarantee you that every time He will speak. It may not be through a sign or wonder.
We may not audibly hear his voice but if we pay attention, he is speaking.
Jesus said in John 10 โMy sheep hear my voice.โ This means that those whom he has called are able to both literally and figuratively โhearโ his voice in various ways.
God speaks to our hearts through his still small voice. He speaks through His written word and many other ways mentioned in this article.
Learning to distinguish the voice of the Father comes through levels of discernment.
The Bible is the plumb line, God will never speak anything contrary to His word.
Don’t Put Words In God’s Mouth
In the charismatic movement many people come daily with revelations saying that God told them this or God told them that when in fact God hasnโt spoken to them in years.
Iโve heard scenarios where people have said God told them to leave their wife, God told them it was ok to do drugs, God told them it was okay to look at adult sites and many other crazy things that not only go outside of His word, but against it.
We need to be weary of new revelations and always test it against Gods word.
In fact it is quite easy to get off track and follow a strangerโs voice. In many cases the strangerโs voice may even be our own.
We have two primary voices being heard, the will of God and our own.
Discerning God’s Desires
These two desires are constantly wrestling with one another. Just as Jacob wrestled with God and was left changed, we too wrestle with Him in the ring of our mind. Sometimes people want to believe things so badly that they put words in Gods mouth and then begin to tell people, โHere is what God told meโ.
The scripture says in Psalm 37:4-5:
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. If we delight ourselves in The Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts.
The key is that when we delight ourselves in God, our desires begin to change. Through the sanctification process and the renewing of the mind we will eventually no longer desire the same things that we used to. For example, when we used to desire to sin, acquire material possessions or to be famous, our joy was in those things, not fully in the Lord.
Through spending time delighting ourselves in the Lord, we may now desire righteousness and to live Holy and be content.
Discerning Spirits Through Seeing In The Spirit
โAnd it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.โ | Joel 2:28

There are many different ways of seeing in the spirit.
Some people are able to see angels or demons around when others cannot. Some people immediately see prophetic images from heaven when they close their eyes.
I have personally been in meetings and during prayer have been able to see snakes on people or chains wrapped around their feet symbolizing demonic strongholds and forces working against the person. I immediately began to intercede for the person and by faith reach down and undo the chains.
When faith meets action it brings about change.
Often the person would feel a heaviness lift off of them and feel an immediate wave of Godโs presence when something like this occurred.
Sometimes God requires us to step out in faith in order to see the miraculous.
We must step out from our comfort zone, which is an act of denying ourselves. The scripture states that obedience is better than sacrifice.
Once God opens the eye of our understanding, we begin to walk in a greater level of faith and believe God for more.
This is a realm where the supernatural becomes natural and it becomes a part of our daily life.
Elisha Helps A Young Man See In The Spirit
In 2 Kings 6, Elisha went on a journey with a young man when they ran into trouble. They woke up in the morning surrounded by a great army and fear immediately struck the heart of the young man. Elisha then turns to him and says โDonโt be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.โ And Elisha prayed, โOpen his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.โ Then the LORD opened the servantโs eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Elishaโs prayer opened up the young manโs eyes to be able to see the spiritual reality of what was really going on. If God is for us then there are none that can stand against us.

We are in a spiritual battle, and we have armies of angelic hosts surrounding us.
Sometimes we are able to see them in the spirit, and it builds our faith. Ask God to allow you to see in the spirit. Ask the Father to open your eyes, but be careful, what you see may shock you.
Faith is being able to see a thing manifested before it is physically here. When we prophesy over our lives or the lives of others, we must have a picture in our minds of the outcome that we wish to see.
Then, we step out by faith, proclaim it and by doing so, birth it into reality.
Faith equipped with vision and expectancy is what brings about miracles.
Discerning Spirits Through Knowing (Word of Knowledge)
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? | Matthew 9:3-4

Discerning spirits through a divine knowing in the Bible is called a “Word of Knowledge” or “Word of Wisdom”.
The Holy Spirit will speak to you about things that you need to know or inform you how to make a decision.
These are usually things that you would have no way of knowing unless given direct knowledge from God. You may know a personโs name, where they work or some significant detail about them that you had no other way of knowing.
This is also referred to as a quickening or divine revelation in the scriptures. Many Christian circles are starting to use the term โdownloadโ as well.
This gifting also correlates with the discernment of spirits.
Discern When To Speak
We are able to know things about people without even meeting them before. When a person is oppressed with a spirit or may have a particular familiar spirit around them, those who have the gift of discernment are able to discern which spirit is upon that person as well.
The Word of Wisdom is divine revelation on how to use or share knowledge.
Just because itโs a divine revelation does not mean that we are to go out and share it with everyone.
Jesus warns us in Matthew 7:6 not to cast our pearls before swine because they will trample them under their feet.
In a world where many still feel the need to be affirmed, often we are very eager to run and share our new revelation with friends or leadership. One of the biggest crushing blows that a believer can experience is sharing their revelation with someone and they think that you are way off or not hearing from God.
There is a saying that those who live for the approval of others will die by their rejection. A way to avoid this is by the use of wisdom.
If God spoke it, it will remain.
He will confirm it by His presence and with signs and wonders, and the impact will bear much fruit. It will be something that lasts, versus just some idea that came and went.
This principal is shown to us in the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors. Joseph was given a vision of what he was to do in the future, and it was something great. So great that even his older brother would be subservient under him.
When he shared this dream with them, they were immediately offended and plotted within their hearts to put him away and harm him. They were jealous and insecure within their own callings and identities.
Like us, Joseph may have shared his vision with the world prematurely, but God has a beautiful way of working every situation out for our good.
Discerning Spirits Through Feeling
In Mark Chapter 5, we read the story of the woman with the issue of blood and how by her faith she was made whole.
An interesting thing about this story is when the woman touched Jesus that He โfeltโ the virtue or power leave him. The feeling was so strong that He turned around in a crowded street with people all around to ask, โWho touched me?โ

This is one example about feeling the presence of God, power or anointing physically.
There are several references in the New Testament about how Jesus was moved with compassion for those who were lost or sick. Jesus bore a natural empathy for those people and believers also continued to carry this burden for a lost and dying world.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities | Hebrews 4:14-15
Just as Hebrews says that Jesus is moved by our infirmities, we carry the very same nature to the world by unction of the Holy Spirit.

We carry a compassion that we can at many times feel within the depths of our beings.
There are times of travail when the Holy Spirit will pray for us with groanings and utterances not understood by human intellect.
Many times when this occurs, you are able to feel what area you are receiving healing in. This also happens in times of deep intercession with others. There is a feeling associated with the prayers.
Many people speak about being empathic and being able to pick up on other peopleโs energy and feel it in their bodies. People who identify as empathic speak about not wanting to go out in public or visit Walmart because of all of the different energies that they will pick up on.
How I stepped Into Discerning Spirits
I remember years ago showing up for pre-service prayer before youth service. We would sometimes show up an hour early in a separate room to prepare our hearts, ask God to move in power, and pray for the people coming to encounter His love.
On one particular evening, we walked into the dimly lit room with worship music playing and as soon as I stepped through the threshold of the doorway, I felt this overwhelmingly strong burden of heaviness come upon me.
I remember being in a pretty good mood, and then instantly I felt overwhelmed and hopeless. As we walked into the room, we were surprised to find another one of the church members over in the corner crying.
We asked her if anything was wrong, and she told us that she had just found out that her husband had been having an affair. Her heart was broken, and the Lord allowed us to feel her burden supernaturally so that we would be moved with compassion, and so we would minister healing to her.
Discerning Through Pains In The Body
Many times when we get these sensations, it is something that hits us spiritually and other times we can literally feel it in our bodies as a spirit of infirmity.
When I first started having bodily pains in this way, I admit that the first thought I had was fear. It wasnโt until I began to step out and exercise faith or ask God about the feeling that I started to see breakthroughs happen in peopleโs lives.
I Went Deaf During Worship!
Once we were in a home meeting with a small group. During worship, I caught an excruciating pain in my neck. The first thing that came to my mind was fear, thinking that I pulled something.
I immediately began to rebuke the devil under my breath and command him to let my neck go, but nothing happened. โDevil, I am the healed of the Lord and no harm shall come nigh my dwelling, loose my neck in Jesusโ name.โ Still nothing.
I then paused for a second and thought about it and said to myself, โWhat if the Lord is allowing me to feel someone elseโs pain and this pain isnโt even my own?โ Again fear came, because now Iโve got to speak up in front of everyone and what if I was wrong?
Thoughts continued to creep in, like, โPeople may think you donโt hear God.โ Well, Iโll never find out if I never try. After all, I had vowed to not grieve the Holy Spirit again. I didnโt want someone to miss out on their healing because I was too shy.
Faith Is Always Required
So I stood up and asked the room if anyone was having neck pain, and when I did a friend said, โYes, I actually went to the doctor today because of my neck.โ
By faith, I said, โWell, I believe that the Lord wants to heal you. Can we pray for you?โ He said yes.
We stood up and laid hands on him and the Spirit of God showed up, moved upon him, and he said that the pain left!
This began to happen to me more in other gatherings as well as at the doctorโs office.
For some reason, fear usually likes to rear its ugly head and try to get you to doubt God, but once you move past fear and into faith, you will see the miraculous happen.
Discerning Spirits During A Church Service
I was in a church service once during worship, and I was having a beautiful time in the presence of God, when suddenly I went deaf in my right ear. Fear showed up, and I began to ponder why this was happening. Maybe my blood pressure is offโฆ orโฆ maybe the Lord wants to open a deaf ear!
I then got excited and stepped to the side to ask the pastor, who was a friend of mine, if I could speak after the song was over, told him the situation, and he said yes.
Next, I went up to the stage and called it out. โIs there anyone here who is deaf in their right ear?โ I looked around the room and an elderly gentleman stood up.
Then, asked him to come to the front, laid my hands upon him and commanded his ear to be open, and the man was healed!
Furthermore, I can give many more examples where this continued happening again and again.
What I have learned and cannot stress enough is that almost every time it did, fear showed up first.
God uses our imagination, not our intellect.
Make sure that your mind is renewed, and you know who you are in Christ so that you will remain a pure vessel for the Lord to use. His heart will move to you and through you, and perfect love casts out all fear!
Discerning Spirits Through Smell
Some people are able to smell energies or intent as a way of spiritual discernment. Smelling is synonymous with inner knowing, i.e. โI smell something fishy going on hereโ.
Often a foul or demonic spirit carries with it a rude stench similar to that of garbage, vomit or rotting flesh. Many people have experienced this smell while performing exorcisms during the deliverance of demonic spirits.

On the other hand while in ecstatic experiences with God, there are accounts of smelling beautiful aromas of honey, incense, frankincense, flowers and sweet-smelling fragrances.
Song of Solomon 1:3 says, Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out.
The Bible refers back to our prayers, deeds and alms rising up to heaven as a fragrance before the Lord. The priest also burned incense during times of prayer, believing that the smoke would carry their prayers to heaven as an offering before God.

Demons and Demonic Possession
Almost every Holy book on the planet speaks about interaction with these malevolent beings.
Nearly everyone today is familiar in some way to the concept, but what exactly are they? What is their possible influence on humans? Demons are spoken of 75 times in the New Testament and were an important part of Jesus Christโs teachings. Although their origins are debated, it is primarily accepted that demons can affect humans in a number of ways, including: physical illnesses, mental impairments, false beliefs, spiritual warfare, and even possession.
What Are Demons?
Demons have been a topic of discussion for many centuries, dating back to the beginning of human writing. Their existence has been a question in many religions and cultures throughout history. The modern-day definition of demons is that they are malevolent beings from another dimension who pose as evil spirits or fallen angels.

However, it may surprise you to learn that this definition did not exist until around the fourth century AD when Christianity had begun to dominate Europe after being declared its official religion by Emperor Constantine. Prior to this time, โDemonic Possessionโ referred to any number of external forces; whether good or bad, such as angels and Greek gods (Zoroastrianism).
What Does The Bible Say About Demons?
The word โdemonโ is not used much in the Old Testament. However, there are numerous references to Beelzebub or Baalzebul, who was considered the prince of the demons. This name derived from Baโal Zebรปb , which means Lord of the Flies . People believed that flies were associated with death and decay, so this came to be connected with demonic forces.
What Is Demonic Possession?
Possession might be defined as the direct action of the Devil and his demons. This usually happens when a personโs own sins have created an open door. It is crucial to realize that a possession canโt and wonโt occur without the consent, however minimal, of the victim. This consent predominantly takes the form of past sins and regrets. When a person is demonically possessed, he or she suffers from a complete seizure of their personality by a diabolical being. This allows the demon to dominate their person, allowing them to become, even somewhat physically, that demonic being.

The concept of possession by demons, especially among those who had practiced satanic rituals or worshiped other gods, continued into the New Testament era as well. The Book of Acts describes Greek followers of Satan invoking evil spirits (Acts 19:13โ16). The Bible forbid such practices. At one point, God suggests that it is permitted to cast out demons (Mark 3:22-27). However, the early church leaders made the connection between unclean spirits and affliction by a foreign god. This was labeled as demonic possession, and often accompanied those who practiced idolatry and pagan practices. This led to an increased use of exorcisms to free people from these demons.
In The Gospel of Mark, Jesus is recorded exorcising demons by casting out evil spirits who are possessing people. By his power and authority alone, he spoke and was able to make the person well.
These encounters led to the New Testament perspective that certain people could be possessed against their will by demonic entities.
How Can Someone Become Demon Possessed?
Some believe that people may become possessed or influenced by demons. When a person falls into sin, they can be โtaken overโ or โpossessedโ by a demon. This happens when a person is powerless to resist evil influences (i.e., in dreams, when they are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs).
Some people claim to have heard Satan speaking through their television sets or even seen beings in their homes when dabbling in satanic witchcraft.
Casting Out Demons and Exorcisms
The Book of Mark describes the process of exorcizing demons by Jesus Christ. The original Greek word used is exorkizein (ฮตฮพฮฟฯฮบฮนฯฮธแฟฮฝฮฑฮน), which means to bind by oath or exorcise . Exorcism can be performed through prayer, though itโs often done with the assistance of religious artifacts such as Holy Water, crucifixes, and other items that are believed to be โholyโ.
Casting out demons was not exclusive to Christianity. Other religions have similar ceremonies that date back thousands of years. During the Dark Ages throughout Europe, many people accused of being possessed were brought before priests for exorcisms because Demonic Possession was considered a sin against God by Christians. Christ often confronted and cast out demons, and gave His disciples power to cast out demons as well. Today we call this exercise an exorcism. In an exorcism, a higher authority is called upon to bind the entity to then control or command it to act contrary to itโs own will. According to scripture, Jesus is a higher authority that demons recognize and fear. Catholic priests also call upon the Archangel Michael, who is believed to have the power to defeat evil beings as well.
Who Are The Nephlim?
The Nephilim were a race of giants created by fallen angels mating with human women. The Nephilim became evil warriors who terrorized the earth until being destroyed by a flood sent by Yahweh. In Ancient Canaanite mythology, the Nephilim were thought of as a seven-headed dragon with horns on each head.
1st Enoch 7:2 says that 200 Watchers descended to Earth and began mating with humans. These unions produced giant offspring called Nephilim.
The Nephilim were known as great warriors and prospered on Earth for 300 years.
How Many Nephilim Were There?
According to the Book of Enoch, there was a total of 360 sinning angels. One hundred Watchers became bound to the earth until Judgment Day because they revealed secrets about Heaven to human women. The remainder fathered the Nephilim and their giant descendants spread throughout the land. After this, we believe that God instructed Noah to build an Ark and save himself and his family from a flood that would destroy all other living things on earth (Genesis 6:11).

Noun: The Nephilim (/หnษfแตปหlษชm/ NEF-eelim; Hebrew: ื ึฐืคึดืืึดืื Nefilฤซm)
The Hebrew word nephilim means โfallen ones.โ In ancient Canaanite lore, they were giants who once walked the earth until they were destroyed for wickedness.
They were offspring of the โsons of Godโ and the โdaughters of menโ before the Deluge according to Genesis 6:1-4.

What Do The Nephilim Look Like?
They are described as hybrids of human and angel, hence their size which becomes gigantic โ gigantic โgiantsโ โ At first they cause no harm to humans but later corrupt themselves with women and create offspring. By this time, God had decided to destroy them all, saving only Noahโs family. โ They are seen as bisexual for copulating with both genders of the human species throughout the ages before finally being completely wiped out according to The Bible viaโs Ark during The Deluge.

The Greek Septuagint refers to these creatures as โgigantesโ. According to Enoch, the giants โ the nephilim โ began eating people on earth after their birth so God sent Uriel to tell Noah about the coming cataclysm before deciding what should be done with them according to each circumstance mentioned above.
Did Any Nephilim Survive The Flood?
Although many do hold on to the notion that some of the Nephilim giants survived the flood because Genesis 6:4 actually says that โThere were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that,โ. Many believe that the โand also after thatโ part refers to giants still remain on the Earth after the flood.
Some interpret this passage as indicating that these Nephilim will still exist at the time of Christโs return, when they will pose a threat to Godโs people.

It is also believed that Goliath and his brothers were the offspring of these fallen angels. The book of Enoch goes into great detail about these beings who chose to fall from grace and take wives for themselves among the humans. It is said that these giants were wicked and ate humans as delicacy. Many of the women who bore these children died while in labor. These beings cause wickedness upon the face of the earth. Enoch also describes a final war between the Nephilim. Many people believe that the main reason for the flood of Genesis was to wipe out the existence of these angel human hybrids called the Nephilim and to eradicate their presence from the face of the earth. In Greek tradition, the Nephilim are personified as the gods and Titans.

In the bible, fallen angels are those who disobeyed God and were banished from Heaven to Hell. They have great power on Earth but cannot leave it. Instead, they take humans as their wives, attempting to corrupt all of humanity so that God will have no choice but to destroy the world and its inhabitants. The spirits of their offspring are the entities most commonly encountered through demonic possession.
What are Jinn?
Jinn (singular: jinni) are supernatural creatures in Islamic theology. They are referenced frequently in the Qurโan and other Islamic texts, sometimes spelled โgenieโ or โgeniesโ; they were believed to be people who had been transformed into invisible beings after death because of their sins. A mythology surrounding them emerged when stories of jinn spread quickly throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia Persians called them โjangliโ (wild men), Arabians called them โJinnโ, Hebrews called them โshedimโ, Slavs called them โpchelaโ, Asians called them โKappaโ, Africans call them โPech Merleโ.
Jinn are spirits of the earth that possess extraordinary powers, and they live on a different plane than humans do (but they can appear in human form). While some people believe all jinns to be evil, others regard them as more ambivalent beings; some jinn may be benign or beneficial to humans.
Elements of pre-Islamic mythology persist in Arabic culture; the jinn is held by many Arabs to be an object of fear and respect. A belief has arisen recently among Arabs who follow Sufism: They believe that not all jinn were bad and not all jinn were goodโ that some adopted a neutral stance towards people. This notion appears to have been incorporated into Islam from Buddhism, as it echoes the Muslim tradition.

Genies (or genii) are supernatural entities in the Western tradition and literature. They often serve as servants or messengers to characters in various stories and myths (such as those spoken of in The Thousand and One Nights and Disney Aladin).

The Arabic word for genie is โjinniโ (โjinnโ, singular), which comes from the Arabic root jnn, which means โto hideโ or โconcealโ. Jinn are normally invisible to humans. In some cases, a jinn can choose to show itself in a visible form. Some people believe the jinn have the power to travel large distances at extreme speeds and can make themselves invisible while doing so.
In Islamic theology, you must be pure physically and spiritually before being able to see them. If you do something bad you will never see a genie again until your death of the physical world. A person is not allowed to summon a genie unless they are too powerful for it to harm themโsimilarly you cannot control one either since they are too powerful for their masters.
Genies were believed by many to be a race of spirits that inhabit their own world, one very similar to ours but separate from us entirely. According to legend, the natural world was full of signs and omens: Genies carved figures at crossroads and engraved them on walls; and since they inspired fear and awe, villages feared building over their work, so desert sand still covers older carvings.

What Are Jinn Made From?
Extradimensional life forms known as the jinn, are spirits who inhabit an unseen world in dimensions beyond the visible universe of humans. Together, the jinn, humans and angels make up the three sentient creations of God. Jinn are not the same thing as Biblical demons and are not known for possessing people. The Qurสพan mentions that the jinn are made of a smokeless and โscorching fireโ, and they have the physical property of weight. Like human beings, the jinn can also be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent and hence have freewill like humans and unlike angels.
A common trick used against a malevolent Jinn was to play into its need to show how powerful it was, tricking the spirit into re-entering his lamp (or jar) and then sealing it โ trapping the demon within before he could return to cause harm to his summoner.
What is Sleep Paralysis?
Sleep paralysis is an experience where you wake up unable to move or speak. It may last only a few seconds, but it can be terrifying because you may feel like someone โ or something โ is holding you down.

Sometimes it happens when youโre getting into bed or just waking up. You lie in the dark waiting to drift off, and then suddenly your mind wakes up before your body does.
You are conscious but canโt move or talk for brief periods during waking hours. These episodes are sometimes described as โdemon attacksโ, which is not surprising considering how frightening they are when they occur. What links sleep paralysis to the supernatural or paranormal is that many people claim that they see demonic entities within their bedroom during these encounters. A person who is dealing with demonic possession can experience these entities several times throughout their life.
What are shadow beings?
Between 8% and 50% of people experience sleep paralysis at some point in their life. About 5% of people have regular episodes. It is believed to have played a role in the creation of stories about alien abduction and other paranormal events.
Shadow beings are often described as dark, shadowy humanoid shapes or apparitions about the size of a human. They are not always humanoid, though. Some shadow people are blurry, amorphous masses that change shape frequently .
Some people claim to have seen shadow creatures made out of rocks, coal and other inanimate objects. Others see them near mirrors and windows โ places where spirits can grow stronger and more visible by interacting with their reflections.

This is one of the most common questions asked by those who experience these visions: why would I be able to see something if itโs between me and the light source? People who see shadow beings usually report seeing them against a wall or from across a room.

This is because people often report seeing ghosts during dreams or feeling as if they were floating outside their body. Conspiracy theorists claim that alien abductions are sometimes caused by astral projection; this involves projecting oneโs soul outside of their body.
The โOld Hagโ Syndrome
The night hag is a generic name for a folkloric creature found in cultures around the world, and which is used to explain the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. A common description is that a person feels a presence of a supernatural malevolent being which immobilizes the person as if standing on the chest. This phenomenon goes by many names.
People have claimed to see an old lady or witch screaming in their faces during these encounters. These phenomena have become to be known as the โOld Hag Syndromeโ.
The term โhagโ is often associated with witches. This is because of the old English legend which tells of Hag โ an evil witch who would sit on peopleโs chests at night to suffocate them during their sleep.

The first known reference to hags or hags attacks comes from Halifax in 1699. John Freind suggested that suffocation was caused by โan oppression of spiritsโ together with a sensitivity to being touched at the time.
The first medical report of โnight hagโ came from Dr David Collins in 1781. He wrote that many locals believed that this phenomenon were brought on by witches or ghosts sitting on victimโs chests as they slept.

Some even believe that Solomon used this power to make these entities help construct the original Solomonโs Temple. In the Testament of Solomon, it is said that the Archangel Michael gave Solomon a ring with what is now known as the pentagram, and this sigil held control over these demons.

But things change when the young lady with the Voodoo demon demons receives prayer.
She raises her hands as Daniel and the team prays over her and receives a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. But then, the demon begins to manifest.

It seemed like the evil spirit didn’t like the woman being filled with God’s presence.
The lady’s entire countenance changes as the demonic spirit seems to take over her body.
The demon started to laugh and mock Daniel with a chuckle like something out of a horror movie. Daniel then points his finger at the demon, then the demon says “It burns, he’s burning us!“.

As she opened her mouth, the demon began to hiss at Daniel.
Daniel did what he was told, and commanded the demon to leave her. The demon laughed at him, which indicated that Daniel had no power over it.
He tried again, more confidently this time, but the demon tries to reason with Daniel and says “I want to go to heaven, I don’t want to go to hell.”
Daniel says, “You’re going back to the pit! You unclean spirit! Out!”.
When this happens, the demon cries out again with a loud shriek!
It then says, “She cuts her wrist, I want to kill her!”.

As a result, after a few moments, spiritual warfare pursues, and then the whole ordeal is over.
The evil spirit left the woman, and she is now in tears!
